Suzanne Hill’s drawings and paintings describe her fascination with the intersection between the enjoyment of life and the view of our government as an inhibitor of that free expression. Birds of prey are major themes in her work. She has a BS in fine art and has also studied metalsmithing. Suzanne enjoys making art pieces that cross-over between her other interests in metal and fiber, such as making decorative art pieces that could be wearable or handled as interesting objects. Her work has been exhibited in numerous group shows around Maryland, such as the Harvest Party at Galloping Goose Vineyard and the Carroll Artists Guild member show at Carroll Community College. Suzanne’s work was recently selected for Carroll County’s first juried art show. Her abode is a Baba Yaga hut in Westminster, Maryland, where hawks circle overhead.
